keep time with no power going through them?

wondering this this morning as i turned on the coffee machine thats been away to be repaired - they have had it for 3 weeks , so very little time plugged in over that peiod, but when i plugged it back in this morning, clock came on , time and settings all correct....now it has no internal back up batteries ( at least none that need changing) so how does it keep the correct time?) is there likely to be a small reservebattery somewher in there - or just witchcraft?

IIRC, there's a tiny tiny tiny silver one attached to one of the computer boards.

Have you never wondered how your PC still knows the time and date even after having been switched off for a week when you're on holiday?

Small solar panel somewhere? Or it could have a radio controlled clock in it.
