Is coming out today. Anyone going to get it? Having owned the MC games since MC2, I will most probably be buying it sooner rather than later. I haven't seen many reviews of it yet, but it appears to be a solidly good game, but with nothing special to it.

I remember the good old Colin Mcrae rally 2 on the PS2 used to have breaks and acceleration on the right stick. Worked really well but everyone is now so conditioned to the trigger its hard to get use to

Purchased this afternoon, impressed so far. Change the controller layout to 'button' and its far better I think.

Online looks good with the ability to send invitations to friends... why oh why doesn't gt5p have this...

I only have offline mode, but i'm really enjoying it. Its probably the fact I can make my cars look nice, rather than chavvy... which helps a lot.

What are the physics and the AI like? Heard it's stupidly hard.

I found the AI to be stupidly hard in MC3 and just gave up with it before the controller got launched at the screen. Wouldn't mind giving this new one a go if it's a bit more forgiving.

Its not forgiving, the AI get a massive advantage and its mega difficult. But do-able.

Physics aren't the worst, but the handbrake doesn't work properly which is a bit annoying.

In terms of difficulty, I tend to find that as long as you have a decent race and keep up with the leading AI, you just need to Nitrous once or twice at the end to beat them. Its pretty upsetting when you have an awesome race for the first 95%, then have a crash, all 4 other cars pile past and you finish last. If you have a similar accident nearer the start, the AI slows down so you can catch up.

This is about as arcade as it gets though isn't it? A bit like Outrun with updated graphics?

What do you expect from a street racing game?
