Mobile Phone privacy?
Discussion
Encouraged by the 'ever text the wrong person' thread, I accidentally sent a text to my GF years ago that was intended for one of her mates who I happened to be seeing on the side. She claimed to forgive me, and we ended up married, but years later, while we were going through a rocky patch, I caught her snooping through the sent messages on my phone, looking for evidence of an affair I wasn't having.
That was just the start, and it got to the point where I didn't dare to text any of my female friends or colleagues because she'd accuse me of having an affair with them.
Anyway, we're divorced now. Best money I ever spent
But, rather disturbingly, I found out last week that my current GF is doing the same thing
I've got nothing to hide, and usually leave my phone lying around when I'm at home. But she challenged me the other day, with the worst argument I've ever heard -
She wasn't snooping through my phone, you see,
she just picked it up and it happened to go to my sent messages, and it accidentally opened one I had sent to a mate, moaning about her not being ready when we were supposed to be going out for a meal together...
Now, this message wasn't at the top of the list. It wasn't even near the top of the list. To find it, she would have had to scroll down a couple of pages.
As far as I know, I haven't done anything to give her cause to go snooping. I firmly believe that anyone who does things like that looking for trouble deserves whatever they get. Has anyone, particularly the female contingent, got any ideas why she's doing it? Is it just a girl thing?
And is it just coincidence that 2 consecutive women have done this?

Think I might just kick her back doors in, climb the OXO tower, buy an MX-5 and feck off...

Do not save your sent messages, problem sorted.
Ah, but in the twisted logic of the female mind, surely regularly deleted messages is a sign of guilt? And anyway, I've got nothing to hide. Yet.sleep envy said:

There's a reason that men's clothing has pockets. Use them.
There's a reason phones have lock codes...Photos of my genitals.
