This car was at S Club and needed a bit of tlc but certainly didn't look a shed.

Looks a great buy! it says no warranty but you still have your statutory rights as a consumer anyway so it's not exactly a risky purchase. a V8S for 5k? like they say I can't understand why it hasn't sold either. maybe not the best colour but who cares at that price! performance bargain somebody buy it please!!

i remember looking very closely at this car at s club, he advertised it there for almost 8 grand I didnt think it was worth that but if i didnt have a chim in millions of bits in my garage for 5 grand i would snatch his hand off. come on ken [alias clarence boddiger] im sure you could fit this somewhere,

I remember briefly looking at this car at Offords much earlier this year (march perhaps?) with a mate who was thinking of getting an S. He got a motorbike instead

It looks an absolute steal, especially when you think about that (albeit seriously sorted) cossie engine in the classifieds which is going for £4k.....

I have heard various people say this car is a dog when viewed at Offords, however after seeing it at S club I disagree. I would describe it as unmolested in need of a bit of Love (not much though)Around 18 months ago it was up for nearly £10k!!!!!

Looked very solid and sounded well, definatley better then the recent car that went for a similar figure. Sureley £4750 would buy this great car????

I met him a couple of times and the car looked sound. The only problem seemed to be a ripped rear window which seems to have been fixed.

a) a spare £5K
b) an extension to our single garage (a V6 & V8 - how cool )
c) an understanding wife, that doesn't think a new bathroom is more important than a second 'toy'

Nothing major wrong with the last one that went for nearly that much, but that one does look to be in better condition. Shame I don't have room for another one

I've been thinking of an upgrade to eight cylinders for a while, and saw this one at 'S club' but didn't take much notice of it because I don't like S's in white and it was too expensive for me at £9k.

Saw it again in the ad yesterday at the new price and spent the evening convincing myself that I really DID like white. Spent this morning convincing myself that it would fit in the garage alongside the S3. So called Offords at lunchtime to arrange a viewing today, thinking "better move quickly at this price!".

Not quick enough unfortunately - the car was already on first refusal to someone coming from Germany (!) to view it today at 4pm. I left a phone number and was promised a call back if if didn't sell - heard nothing since so it looks like it's gone.

Spent this evening hooning round Essex in the red dog in consolation.
White's really NOT my colour.

I am trying to save for an S at the moment, (trying to convince the girlfriend our 15 year old kitchen and bathroom will come back into fashion soon). Always wanted a TVR since I drove a 3000M about 26 years ago (im not very good at saving but these crazy prices are motivating me to try harder. V8S would be brilliant, although I would be happy with an S1/2 V6 as I have a soft spot for the dash.

I have to say I feel slightly better if V8S's are still flying out the door at £5k, while cheap it does mean there is still some value to my car!
