With any luck that wan*ker Howard from the Halifax adds will get sacked as part of a cost saving scheme
Apparently (so I was told on here) He left the Halifax and was contracted to the last few adverts - but has been told its not being renewed ... HA.. too late I've already left them!!I own nothing, my job is not skilled and I could do any job in the same kind of field, so as you say its not really bothered me too much.
Although its made me more aware of how much money I waste on various debts, and also day to day living, so if anything its shocked me into being more on the ball with my cash

Got rid of my second car and replaced it with a bike, using all the money I'm saving to pay off my last credit card. Spending 'Buy British' at the moment to help prop things up. A bit of personal hardship cycling home from work at 4am but hopefully it will keep me spending and help the economy.

I'm in a similar position - it's pointless selling either of my motors now as neither of them are worth much. However if i'm careful i'll be able to make the most of when things start heading up again - it means living like a particularly hard-up student for the next two years, but it'll be worth it Although its made me more aware of how much money I waste on various debts, and also day to day living, so if anything its shocked me into being more on the ball with my cash

Just had my first child, and my wife isn't going back to work - so we're down on cash a bit.. but (luckily?) we're in a cheap house with cheap cars so this credit crunch really hasn't affected us.. Sorry to hear about you guys.
I had no credit (on the cars) but have two kids too and the cost of living has gone through the roof....My 7 year old son will just have to stick to a football career (and play for Man City!! LOL) as his karting dreams are very much on hold now. Another expense I can do without....
I want to take out another car lease but the economic situation tells me not to, even a bargain deal at around £150 pm.
