Long term savings
Discussion
I've decided to put £250 per month into a savings account for the next ten years to cover the shortfall in an endowment I've got. It's quite possible I wont need it for the endowment which in that case it will be a nice little nest egg to look forward to.
So, any recommendations? Lots of banks give 10% for the first year which then drops to the very poor standard rate plus I can't be arsed to switch every year or so for the good rates. Instant access isn't needed.
I've already got money in shares and an ISA so would like something different. Premium bonds don't really do anything for me as if you don't have a win (which I never have done before
) your money is shrinking in the real world.
Thanks for any suggestions
