^ The jist of the problem is in the above topic, basically one of my two jobs overpaid me and now I owe the in the region of £400 according to their calculations.

Without making me aware they just stopped my pay altogether, which has nicely placed me in to trouble with the bank.

I am currently in the process of emailing the guy above the HR payroll dude to ask him why I wasn't notified, am I just being a bit stubborn or do I have a point to be abit miffed off?

Did you write down the extra hours you did at the last minute and ask your supervisor to check them for you?

Yes, she's still in the process of checking them, payday came before she did, and so they've ceased payment.

You are entitled to be annoyed, the employer does have the right to reclaim the overpayment but they should do it in a way that is fair and reasonable. So they should talk to you and agree repayment terms, but it is more of a civil court issue than an employment one, the Employment Act doesn't cover overpayments so it's not an employment issue as such (you couldn't take them to tribunal, for example).

If you speak to them and explain the situation I'm sure they will be able to come to some sort of arrangement.
