Radiator looks right, but might be the wrong dimensions (I'm not saying it is, just that you can't check - when I had mine recored, the man recognised it as a Sherpa van but bigger)

Question - are all the S Series throttle cables the same? (ie 2.8, 2.9 and B8?)

Hi 99% sure it for a 2.8, which differs from the 2.9 Previous listing gave a part number which I checked see here

S radiator is based on the Sherpa item.

No, all three engines have their own throttle cables.
The 2.9 version is the Ford cable for Sierra & Granada 2.9.

would that rad fit and work correctly in an S3 ?
they are sherpa based with an extra core allegidly - had a quote to re-core my original rad for £225 but a "new" one would be a better option I think

S1/2/3/4 radiators are all the same as far as I know - the fan mounts in a different place but the radiator itself is the same. What I was trying to say earlier is that the one for sale looks right, but it's hard to tell, even my radiator recore man recognised it as a sherpa based, (but bigger).

Yes it's Sherpa with an extra core. Your recoring price sounds a bit steep - usually they come in at £130 to £150, mine was £135.
