Oulton Park.

Lovely setting, and you can watch the cars go round as well.

What more could you ask for?

A few options round here, non that I've been to weddings at myself, just i know they do them.
Carden Park (about 10miles south of Chester) http://www.devere-hotels.com/our-hotels/carden-par...
Peckforton Castle (about the same distance out of Chester) http://www.peckfortoncastle.co.uk/index.php
Wild Boar Hotel (near Peckforton) http://www.wildboarhotel.co.uk/index.html

Mottram Hall (part of DeVere) used to work there though they may be booked up as very popular.

I've been to both the Grosvenor and Peckforton for Weddings, the Grosvenor is easier to get to ( if that's an issue ), but Peckforton was great. There is a chapel at the Hall, nice lawns etc

Not the best rooms, and is was a bit cold, other than that spot on.

Stannylands Hotel in Wilmslow is very good for a civil wedding.

If you're interested (in suitable hotels) I can get you the details of a client of mine who runs a Cheshire based hotel reservation agency.
She will be able to advise you better.

A friends brother got married at Ruthin Castle earlier this year, had a brilliant time. Easy to get to from Manchester too despite the distance, M56, M53, A55 (ETA then some fun on the twisties of a A494 wink).

Well... there was a couple christening the Observers Box at Fosters one evening at the Gold Cup back in August! eek But i dont think thats what you ment.

There was one marshal who did get married and had her reception at oulton park - and invited all the rest of us in Orange for drinks after the race meeting ended!

another option is Statham Lodge: http://www.statham-lodge.co.uk/

nr to Thelwell Viaduct on the M6, and easy to get to as its on the junction of the M6 and M56
been there for a few evening do - and a wedding reception of a friend.

We had our wedding ceremony at Chester Town Hall, followed by the reception at Frogg Manor

Frogg manor! Fook me that dude is raving. Top place though.

I live local and go for food there-I have seen him stomp out of the kitchen covered in blood with a shotgun declaring war on the rabbits! In the same breath he stated that our black pudding starters would be ready as soon as he came back!

To top it all, he hates the French and the place is stuffed full pro English pictures etc. Excellent!
