When is the alfa 147 due to be replace?
Discussion
The 'proper' 147 replacement (the 149) is due 2010, I think.
But the Mito, which you could think of as a slightly smaller replacement for the 3-door 147, is in UK dealers from 1st November with the first UK cars due in January next year.
I've got no complaints about our 147, it's been pretty much faultless for the 2-and-a-half years we've had it - but unless you're getting an incredible deal I wouldn't buy a new one now.

I wouldnt be looking for a new one thats financial suicide
. Id be looking for either an 06,56 or 07 reg 3dr Ti jtdm. Looking on autotrader they seem to be around 9-10k at the moment, I'll be looking to spend between 7-8k which I think they should be within a years time, would you agree with this?

Yes, probably not far off. Great little cars - we've had an 8 valve JTD Lusso for a couple of years now and it's been just the job.The wife has a 1.6Tspark and it is a great car, apart from the usual wishbone replacement more frequently than you would like (not an expensive job though), it has been very reliable over the last 60k miles. Just got a 156 with the 1.9mjet jtd oil burner in it and I am very impressed with the diesel engine. I get to drive a wide veriety of new cars as hire cars from work and few diesels have impressed me as much as the alfa!
