Someone in the same town as me won £8m i think.

This was a few years ago, now you keep seeing a Gallardo, F360 and a Starskey and Hutch car buzzing around! smile

Good way to spend the cash i reckon! smile

My old dear was in a Jackpot winning syndicate; think they got about £68k each.

Not s friend or relative, but a few years back a guy at my gym won a considerable amount, I think it was about £1.5M.
Anyway, he and two of his friends had a verbal agreement that if any of them won they would split it 3 ways.
He didnt give them a penny so they sued him and they won!!!
It was all over the local paper at the time, and I imagine he felt a right trying to screw his two mates.
IIRC he also had to pay all the legal fees so they ended up with more than him.
Serves him right I 'spose.

Checked my tickets last night and I've won. Still not sure what to spend it on though, so many choices. I won't let it change me.

I think I'll choose beer though as £10 should be wisely invested.

Grimsby has had the misfortune of claiming 3 Lottery winners. Approx. £3.5M, £7.2M & £13M IIRC.

I wouldn't wish to be acquainted with at least 2 of them. The 3rd (& largest) was a woman who (allegedly) left her hubby shortly after for a Car Sales Manager, "paying off" her Ex with a minor share on the grounds that it was her ticket (again- allegedly)

GFs mum and dad won 5 numbers (about 4k) and a month or so later, another 5 numbers (about 2k IIRC). Statistically its about 1bn/1 of them getting 5 numbers twice and it was much more likely that they win the jackpot once - which I like to point out to them.

Bought a Porsche and a Holiday home in Cyprus and pretty much went back to usual. Nice guy

A friend of the family won it last year, the prize fund was 4 million give or take a bit. there were 4 winners. Nice bloke well done him.

The second was an 18 year old, who was down on his luck. but bought two scratch cards and won £25000, spunked it all on parties and clothes within a few weeks.

Know a guy who won the lottery jackpot,he had a great time until karma started coming home to roost.

He started being an ass to his oldest mates and family, ended up getting injured through things he'd bought with his cash, hurt people he loved with misplaced generosity, failed to start a new career with his money and came out the other end wiser and a better person.

It isn't something I'd have wanted to go through although a free pot of cash isn't something I'd turn down.

Friends neighbour won £4m ish. They were already millionaires and totally blaze about it, apparently just "put it in the bank".
