What do you think ?

OK, arse.
The 965 i'd taken this Friday off to see (buy) has sold. I had seen the car a few times, thought about it loads, posted a couple of times, board a few of you (read Domster) with my questions, and now its gone
In my haste to find a good use of a rare day off work I found another
J reg., 40K miles, RS suspension, sports exhaust... I'm going to Birmingham on Friday (from London) to buy it, or not as the case may be.
The one thing I need to know before I go is.........(girlie question coming)......... What do you think of the colour

Yeah, it's an ice blue type thing. Can't remember the colour. I know Glacier Blue Metallic is actually a silver with a bluey tinge.
I like the look of it, but not so sure about the non-standard wheels. 965s look tons better on the 3.6 split rims. About 1.5k aftermarket...
Still, don't let it put you off.
Here's one that I was considering in a post-Lotus Carlton scenario:

Go on, LHD doesn't hurt and you'll have the power of a 996 GT2!
Cheers

Alternatively , rather paying 33K for standard 964, you could have an up to date 993 Bi-Turbo (lhd) for 4K more....

Yeah, buy bosshog's 993. It does look absolutely stunning, and would be my first choice of car if budget was late 30s. Unfortunately, it's mid 20s unless I want to extend my vacation in Debtworld...
In fact, buy my LHD Lotus Carlton, save yourself 20k, and I'll buy the 965 ;-)

I'm glad you like it, I was a bit worried that the lighter colour distracts from the aggressive body shape.
Boss Hog, I would love to buy your car however, I have at an absolute max £35K and if honest would rather it was under that figure. So, if you fancy a bit of charity let me know and i'll come and see the car
The colour is actually Horizon Blue.
News Flash........ They have just taken delivery of a 1993 964RS Light Weight (23K miles) in Black
I will also take it out on Friday, can't wait....

( very pissed so excuse english...) I'm really hoping to buy one of the two cars tomorrow. In which case I will be looking for any excuse to go for a drive. So, I was wondering if any of you Porsche owners/potential owners fancied getting together one Sunday afternoon for a bit of fun. I would be more than happy to take fellow enthusiasts out in whatever car I end up buying. Hopefully someone with a GT2 will turn up...
Cheers, UV.
Look forward to the write up.
PS - You're brave putting the deposit down. Not because the car will be a munter - at that price and mileage it should be quite okay, but check it anyway - but in so much as you haven't driven the 964RS. A friend of mine *swears* by them, and much prefers them to the blown porkers. Apparently, they really are that good. Sadly, I have only driven a normal C2 964 so can't properly comment!
