Last year i put nearly 6 grand in my cab so 4,800 went to GB,no wonder our country is escaping a reccesion,,were driving our way out of it!

Voted.

The government justify the additional tax, to pay for asylum seekers, road safety schemes, war.

All the things the said they would spend the money on at the last election....NOT.

I don't have kids, and touch wood rarely use the Health Service, so where is the benefit to me?

Yeah the no kid thing annoys me too. We wont ever use the schools, library, hospitals, health care or any thing. The doctors are only open when people that work are at work and can't get there and you need to know when you are going to ill 5 weeks in advance in order to make an appointment anyway.

And you say the rise is to pay for asylum seekers, road safety and the war

3 things the public are/were against - that makes sense
