A few of us are planning to meet up at the Ace cafe on the North Circular this Wednesday evening.

The Ace is usually associated with Bikers but is becoming increasingly popular with car groups as well. The 1st Wednesday of the month is hot rod night and judging by the amount of rubber on the road outside it should get quite lively when the sun goes down.

We will be there from about 7.30pm so if you are in the area and fancy meeting up with a few other TVR drivers then do come down.

Ace website www.ace-cafe-london.com for directions.

Excellent - 5 minutes from the office!

Yep - there is so much rubber the road surface is quiet!

To start TVR meets there would be awesome - pity we've missed the summer nights.

The whole reason we are going is because a few of us are naffed off with the current venue (middx region TVRCC) If it proves popular then we will make it a regular monthly night out.

Would it be okay for Surrey to gatecrash from time to time as this is a great venue?

went last month and only saw one other TVR there, Chimaera.

Loads of Americana and bike, be prepared to park a fair walk from the cafe itself if you get there after 8pm.

Won't be going again, far too busy, mind you, now the mild summer nights have gone, maybe won't be so busy

The Ace Cafe is a great venue, especially on 2nd Tuesday of the month - Classic Cars Night.

I used to use those guys for the NSX when I lived over that way. Nothing but praise from me...

... but they do get extremely busy! (their name is well regarded in a lot of motoring circles)

Not a bad turnout given the short notice and unsociable weather. I reckon about 10 -12 of us in total. Thanks Guys !

Now the better news and this is where I need some more support. The Ace are happy to give over a regular monthly night to us TVR drivers. This being the first Friday of the month, and will go down on their regular events list. All we need to do is to fill the car park.

As I have said before, the Ace is a great venue, easy to get to, plenty of parking with good food & drink. They also attract a lot of attention from the motoring press.

Any body up for a regular monthly meet ?

Bobski,
Think we better kick things off on Nov 7th as tomorrow is a bit short notice. That should give us plenty of time to publicise it. Anyway, not sure if Mrs Griff would allow me out twice in one week. Good luck with the Chiswick and Ealing massiv.
