Stuck for the name of a particular film/programme

This should tax most people.....

A few years ago, i saw a film or prog on TV (as opposed DVD etc).

One part in particular was set in a club, and a bloke sang For once in my life.

Started off st, put on a pair of dark glasses, and ended up singing it just like stevie wonder.

Can i remember what it was called?

I think it may have been chris rock, but more than happy to stand corrected.

Not sure,

I think he may have been a policeman in it, and got caught in a club and had to do an act.

I may be wrong, i seem to remember a fair amount of London Pride being consumed beforehand.
