Dammit - I like that Catalunya colour.

Oh well, too late now - car arrived today at Mole Valley. Went straight down to see them giving it its PDI, and it does look mighty fine in Cosmos Blue so I'm happy

... how long until the 1st March now!?!?!?

Catalunya splash is utterly fully completely splendid. How much is a respray again?

Just ordered Catalunya splash for my Tuscan. £252 per litre and approx £1500 for the respray. I will post some pics as soon as I get it back from paintshop.

Might be a daft question but having never had a full respray, roughly how many litres to do a Tuscan ? and does it it need more coats than "normal" paint e.g. a white base coat or anything ??

Blimey, that paint is a bit special!

Roll on the next TVR order so I can specify something in their range!

Daytona Green looks very much like the colour of Peter Wheeler's No8 Tuscan racer, and Interlagos Fire looks like the orange used on the new Tuscan displayed upstairs on the stand at the 2000 motor show. Perhaps TVR have been using these colours for some time? Rich...

Has anyone noticed that the thumbnails are all of different cars, and then when you click on the thumbnail you see the whole car in that colour?

eg. Catalunya Splash is obviously a 360 Modena.

I've just spent a happy couple of minutes playing "name that car".

Ok, its lunchtime and I'm bored.

And sad. :-)

How much would a respray affect the resale values - I'd be a bit wary of a car that was a different colour under the bonnet from outside the car.

Nice! Catalunya Splash is everything I'd hoped BMW Montreal Blue would be, but isn't!

Now how can I persuade 'er indoors that I NEED a full respray for the Chim?

All looks great, but I cringe enough already when I hit a patch of loose chippings, without having 'arm & a leg' paintwork!

Don't know about earlier TVRs, but at least the Tuscan isn't painted the bodycolour under the bonnet. In fact, if you look at the video's of my trip to the factory on my website, you can see what areas of the car are bodycoloured by how they have masked areas of the car off.

I don't think it'll affect resale value negatively - in fact, more likely to put the price up depending on how nice (read: tasteful?) the colour is. Its not like someone is going to look at it and go "Oooh, thats not a standard colour, is it?" ...
