How Big does a helium balloon need to be.....
Discussion
Helium 0.1786 g/l
Nitrogen 1.251 g/l
0.1786 x V + 100,000 = 1.251 x V
100,000 = 1.251 x V - 0.1786 x V
= 1.0724 x V
V = 100,000/1.0724
= 93249 litres
So lots? 93 Cubic meters or there abouts.
ETA: That's assuming that the man has zero volume, but it's close enough because even a fast b
d is less than a cubic meter.

why have you used the density of nitrogen? Shouldn't you use that of air?Nitrogen 1.251 g/l

Although it's a different thing altogether, if you want to fly then a powerkite will easily let you get a few feet off the ground. I went on mine yesterday and even when I wasn't deliberately jumping and I was holding it still in the sky, it was lifting me a couple of feet off the ground every few seconds. Good fun but aching today though..
