Well seeing as my job is part of this PLC I guess I now should be worried..

The share price fell off a cliff yesterday tumbling from 125p odd to 70p..

"Inchcape Plc, a global operator of car dealerships, tumbled as much as 41 percent in London trading after saying 2009 earnings will be ``significantly'' below its forecasts as waning consumer confidence restrains auto sales.

Inchcape fell as much as 51.75 pence to 75 pence, the lowest level in seven years, and was down 37 percent as of 10:44 a.m. The company's market value has declined 79 percent this year to 367 million pounds ($636 million). "

Although I did have a short position on them so although I may not have a job to go to monday I did make a fair whack out of them hehe

I guess its jst another company for the pile, shame really..

Wow - Inchcape have a major presence in my town: BMW, Mini, Volkswagen, Honda, Mitsubishi at the very least.

Might go and see if there are any 'special offers' this weekend smile

The share price tanking doesnt necessarily mean the company is in trouble, just it isnt as good an investment as it was previously seen to be.

Look at some mining firms. Their stock price has halved in the last 2 months. But I dont expect BHP Billiton or Rio Tinto to go out of business any time soon tbh.

Jobs are going left right and center, not good.

Big section in the papers - they're doing big layoffs to save £50m per annum.
