How else are you supposed to get 42 days passed by the Lords?

It's Parliament Act time!

It's olympic parade - so I imagine security forces very touchy.

It stopped outside my office in Fleet St for 10 minutes @ 11:40ish with lots of radio action from plod so maybe something to the rumour.

A few helicopters following, roads blocked off temporarily, Cannon St is eerie with no cars on it.

$50 says someone has misplaced their lunch (or left a briefcase with the personal information of 1000 NHS patients) and so it's being treated as a potential bomb.

Bomb squad will destroy it and get bits of apple core and a half eaten sandwich everywhere.

There has been a copper chopper buzzing around very busily for a while to the east of where my office is so that's looking towards South Kensington/Knightsbridge. Perhaps M.Al-Fayed Esq has spontaneously combusted?

Could have sworn I saw an Apache flying over North London at about 11 a.m.

You did. It flew past our window several times.

Was flying around the other week too, think it's one of the Longbow ones.

Does anyone know why? I've not noticed Apaches over London ever before.

Yeah.

There are quite a few Apaches, Chinooks and other military type helicopters each week around here so nothing special, nice to watch though.

They are going to the same place that the Chinooks go to I expect. I assume you've seen those? They go here IIRC:

Or Battersea heliport

When I used to work in London my office window used to overlook that field...Never got much work done consequently - was brilliant though, watching Chinooks come in...

Are they still called the HAC ?
