Quickie iphone question

Good afternoon fellow dwellers of petrol sniffing cyberspace.

I would like an iphone. Can you buy a genuine unlocked one? Or are they all hacked? If they are hacked, whats the deal with firmware and warrantees?

If you can where is the best place on the web to order one from?

All UK phones are locked to O2 I believe, if you want a 'genuine' unlocked one you have to buy from abroad.

I live in Germany so ordering from anywhere isnt a problem. German ones are locked to T-Mobile. but i dont want a contract or any contraints.

So, id jsut like to be able to order a phone. from anywhere!

Apple in Hongkong sell unlocked ones. It can't be long before that's world wide.

There are a few European countries where they are sold unlocked, I think Italy is one, but don't take my word for it.
