Anyone going? Double header. So you get two 18 lap F1 races for £10. Can't argue

It's at Donnington on the short circuit, part of a BARC club meeting including Formula Renault and Formula Saloons. When the final instructions came out there was only about 7 Boss Cars listed on it, hopefully they have had some late entries.

Hope so! Going to be my mates first race meeting so I hope they have a decent number of cars. Was Earl Goddard on the list?

We're going - having a snoop around the Ginettas as I am SERIOUSLY considering racing one next year. Come and say hello - if is unfortunately definitely looking like PH flease hat weather, so I should be recognisable.

What sort of budget are you looking at for that? I really want to race NOW but since I'm but a lowly student I'm guessing its not going to happen anytime soon

Will be there all day. Keep an eye out for the Passat Estate complete with PH stickers!
One of my best mates works for one of the euroboss teams, so it'd be rude not to go. I do hope that they get some more cars though, they're awesome round Donnington

Not a bad grid in the end. Shame the first race was such a farce, and a total shame Earl Goddard wasn't there. Still awesome cars though.

Edited to say: What in gods names was Gary Ward classing as fuel in his Jordan? We stood at the back of the garage as he was warming it up, coughing, eyes streaming. Whatever it was I want some!

I'm probably going to race Ginettas next year as they are very cheap - for motorsport. That means about £30k for three years racing - with doing all of the maintenance and preparation myself.

A similar series is the Tasmin Challenge - very close racing at not stupid costs.

There are cheaper ways into motorsport - Montegos, Fiestas etc, but you still have to get them to the circuits, and fix them when they go wrong. Even LoCost isn't that low cost.

As for the first race yesterday - wtf was going on there. I think that the safety car just wanted to join in the racing. Having said that however, how could the first place car be awarded the win when he clearly went past the SC with its lights on. There is no way he didn't realise that he was in the lead in that beast.

Hi

The G20s are relatively cheap (note the word relatively!!) motorsport, but certainly on the value for money front they win hands down. The racing this year has been really, really close and there's overtaking and dicing from the front to the back of the field.

If you're interested please contact me (preferably by e-mail) and I can put you in touch with the London Ginetta dealer who also happens to run the team that I've been racing with.

See also : www.epsracing.co.uk for some photos and info. plus links. Note the calendar, there's one more date left on the championship (Thruxton in two weeks time), but we're also back at Donington for a special double header in three weeks time, feel free to come along and say hi and ask questions then. There are free tickets available..

The safety car waved him through the first time. What he should have done was let the F3000 car and the Skoal Bandit Ram through then held the rest. But he waved the entire train of cars through.
