Today I went to court to give evidence against a man accused of assaulting me. It was work related and at the time he had punched me and Id subsequently flattened him and held him down for 30 minutes till the police finally arrived. This was the second date set for this as he didnt show up for his first one and suprise suprise he didnt show up for this one either. Thats 2 of my days wasted and all the ensuing expenses claims that Ill be putting in for.

Why let idiots like this walk about? It really cant be hard to work out where he is, probably at the chemists getting methadone each morning or at the DSS getting benefits. Cut him off FFS! Or let us just shoot them!

he was asked to leave the premises for attempting to steal stuff. He then swore (a lot) loudly at myself and customers (thsts breach of the peace up here) and didnt want to leave. He then punched me in the stomach so I threw him over my shoulder and restrained him. In the meantime one of my duty managers called the police. The trouble with these idiots is that uless you call the police they tend to come back with knives.

ah i see - i thought by 'flattened him' you meant you decked him back and then beat the st out of him, then took him elsewhere and dumped him.

'cause that's what you should've done

Pointless turning up for court as the chav will not turn up for court. Watched one of those police programmes the other week, where the police were trying to capture a chav for breaching his bail. Police chopper was involved, as were countless BIB - finaly capturing the chav hiding in a back garden. What did the BIB then do? They re-bailed him to appear at a further court date!

To be fair the BIB would have had no choice but to bail him, it's not their call.

You're good, I admire your restraint in that situation. (I don't know how to do the 'applaud' smiley!) Are you trained to do so? I would've lost it completely and gone to town on him. I hope you bump into him down a dark alley one day and get the opportunity to "bring him to justice"

Agree, it's the CPS and the fact that the cells of this land are already full to bursting. Probably just putting on a show for the cameras.

Trouble is... you still might have to wait 30 mins....
This is the problem.

I use to have theis debate on an American site where they were all gun toting yee haws, but i must admit i think they have a point now. Their argument was that making owning a gun illegal means that only the criminals will have guns, as they don't adhere to the law in any case. Where as Mr and Mrs decent citizen is now left defenceless.
