Hi,

I bought a cheap HD tv to play xbox on last week, but upon delivery, found it doesn't have the full array of component ports. It just has the red/yellow/white. However it does have a HDMI port. Will any HDMI cable owrk or does it have to be xbox specific.

On another note, this tv is digital, but I can't get a signal with an indoor aerial. Sorry for been a numpty, but how do I use my rooftop aerial, as its already been used for the lounge tv. Ta. <<<shame>>>

Yep!

Game do them, about Eight quid I think and they just plug in the back of your Xbox.

Make sure you've got the HDMI output on your Xbox though, it'll be by the Ethernet plug in and look like this..

All hdmi cables are the same as far as I know. If you have a home baragain store near you they were selling hdmi cables for £2.99 last time I was in.

Yep all HDMI cables are the same because they are digital.
Please dont pay 70 quid for a gold plated Monster one, IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.

Does your TV have an integrated digital tuner?

Usually denoted with a DVB or DV3 looking symbol.

If not you'll need a set-top box

just a word of advice, you cant use the HDMI port and the normal xbox cable at the same time (for phono or optical sound). As the block thing on the end overlaps the HDMI hole.

To sum up you need to buy the official HDMI lead.

Does the HDMI lead not replace the normal 360 lead?

Yeah.. It does both sound and picture.
