I have met a lot of unemployed chavs that have taken part in trips on these boats and got an insight into personal responsibility, became motivated to do stuff and got a shed load from the experience.

However Boats cost a fking fortune to run and IMO schemes like this should be privately funded via charitable donations and not using public money. There are a shed load of charities that do similar things and some are based on the East Coast so why buy a boat?

Send them to clean a park. Give them something to do that will make them appreciate gainful employment and integration into society.

The point is that just being sent to clean a park doesn't make them want to go out and work. Some of the lazy kids that this scheme would be aimed at are the product of lazy adults in a fked up system and really do not understand the value of a days work.

Giving them a responsibilty for each other is the first time most have ever had any consequences if they fk up.
