Morning all

Going away in 3 weeks to america and the price of the dollar seems to be on the way down

After a bit of a low it was at 1.6 and has now risen to 1.75

Can any of you stock market types tell me when would be a good time to purchase.

I could afford to change my money up now or later and am only looking for $1k to $1.5k so savings aren't much - probably around £50

But I would rather £50 in my pocket

So, now or later ....

I can help with this, I've got a great new line of crystal balls currently retailing for £25.

I would wait, George Bush warming up another 250 billion , surely this will weaken the dollar further ?

Well what is the best rate you can currently get?

You could decide to get it in 3 instalments of £500 therefore if the dollar gets weaker you will get benefit and vice versa if the dollar gets stronger you will be shielded from some of the rises.

Kind of hedging.

Note the $250billion is already been signed off its from the $700billion fund that was approved a few weeks ago.
