One for all the investment bods out there.

Anyone else think that HBOS might be a good buy at todays close of 90? No crystal ball, but am sure there's life in the old girl yet wink

Well quoting from the wires... the revised terms agreed with HBOS are that HBOS shareholders will receive 0.605 Lloyds TSB shares for every 1 HBOS share.

Given that Lloy closed down at 162 that means that HBOS represents a 10% cheaper way of getting into Lloy. That difference has narrowed significantly since the deal was first announced so people must be more confident it's going to happen.

So there could be an easy 10% earn there if the deal goes through AND the shares don't go lower than today...

Will there be any +/-30% swings now? You'll have to look for more sophisticated analysis but I wouldn't bet against it in this whacky world.
