eek really?

I started on 17'' and went down to 16''. Much nicer on the track, and for general road use.

Depends what you want, I choose go over show, but it's whatever floats your boat.

MINI themselves offer an 18'' so i'd assume you might get a 19'' in there. Would look like a 4x4 though surely?

Do let us know what you fit in the end though as i'd be interested to know

Good luck smile

Im not sure I have seen 20" on a MINI before! I know that when you have the JCW 18" wheels fitted you need to have a lock limiter fitted to stop the tyres rubbing. I know its you car and all, but im sure it will ruin the the cars handling and performance, and for what its worth I wouldnt want to put any more strain on the midland gearbox. :-)

20 inch wheels!

Well, i'm not sure what to say! An X5 come standard on 18's, with 20's as an option.

At least it will be unique, but echo comments above about handling etc.

We need to see those pictures when you've got them on.

Unique look (lots of tyre smoke) and lots of unique noise (tyres rubbing on bodywork and whine from transmission as it winds itself to destruction).

Here you go Dave;)

Found this pic on google, the only info I know is that they are 19" by a company called HRE.

I'm running 18" on mine (with 215/35 tyres), the ride is a little harsh & I have definately become a pothole watcher, it gets a bit 'crashy' over the holes. Apart from that I'm well pleased with the looks etc. I should imagine 19" or above would be a very hard ride though.

Oh yeah, here's your Mrs plate, nice onebiggrin, I supect the BIB might have something to say about it though.

Cheers
John

Found this one on www.MINI2.com, if you type 'Wolf design 20" Mini Cooper' into youtube there is a short clip of a MINI running on 20"s. (Sorry, don't know how to download movie clips). I think in the photos the 20's don't look too bad, but in that youtube clip they look MASSIVEeek. Too big IMO, but if your happy then go for it mate, it's all about your own taste at the end of the day.

Picked up my Cooper Clubman yesterday. Went for sports suspension and the standard 15"s. I know it's an unfashionable look and the kids will no doubt laugh at the high profile, but my god it handles! Quiet on the Mway, copes with potholes and rough surfaces, but turns in like a much much smaller car.

There truly is a mini for everyone.

I await the thread you start on bump steering into a ditch.

17" on the mini are TERRIBLE with run flats let alone anything bigger.

The turning circle isn't the greatest on 17's, with 20's it'll be like a container ship.
