BBC TV: Car is the star

Dear car enthusiast,

I am a big fan of the BBC programme ‘Car is the star’ presented by Quentin Willson. At the point that I realised that it would be nice to start collecting them on VHS I already missed quite a few of them! In a letter to the BBC I asked if it was possible to get a copy of the whole series so far or at least the missing episodes. In an answer they sent me the complete list of makes and models that starred in the programme but told me it was not possible to give me copies because of copyrights. Understandable but dissapointing offcourse.

My question to you is can you help me? If needed I can compile a list of cars that miss in my collections. Costs made are on my account.

Please take the effort if you are able to help me out. I would appreciate it VERY much, honestly!

BBC World are starting the series from scratch in February , so you can see them all this time around

Thanks for your reply but here in Holland we are only able to receive BBC 1 and 2 on cable. Too bad! Anyone else???

According to my notes I've got Ford Capri & Mk2 Jag.
If you're interested I'll view them to check. I've got two decks so I can put them both on a new cassette.

does anyone on here have a TIVO and acble? If so they could record them all for you without any effort at all...? er...am getting digital (which will include beeb world I think) very soon...if it's in time I can try and record any you are missing

Thanks for the replies. If it is true that the BBC is going to repeat the whole series than it would be a good option. I will try to find out online if the programm is in their scedules. Nightmare what do you think are the chances you get connected in time? I think I have about 60% of all cars featured but can make a detailed list as mentioned earlier.
