Hi,
i'm thinking of upgrading my 02 elise to a later exige s but....

I really like having the roof of when the weather's good.

I understand it's possible to remove the roof section of the exige but would be interested in views/experience of doing this and the impact on the car.

thanks
A.

yes you can do it, performance is fine...just looks odd IMO

why not just get an Elise SC ...same (better) performance ...of course if you are hooked on the looks of the Exige then thats the way for you

Hi,
The top comes off just fine, but if you want to do that on a regular basis then I think you'll find it a PITA.
Like the previous post, looks a bit "wrong" but hey it's you who are going to drive it.
Personally I'd get the PP version if you can, the brakes alone are worth the extra.

I agree, looks great. In fact just about to take mine out as a perfect day for the open top.

I have a soft top on my (ironically white) Exige S - it works fine. I don't think it looks as great as with the hard top, but it's very easy and simple to do - infact its' the same mechanism as the Elise.
