In short: Are there any legit online pharmacies that would sell Malarone malaria tablets for less than a supermarket or High St chemist.

I'd be looking for around 75 tablets.

Recently got some from a Tesco Pharmacy of all places - far cheaper than anywhere else we found.

They seemed keen to be the cheapest.

Just be careful with on-line, there's lots of fake stuff about. It's not worth taking a chance on catching malaria for the sake of a few quid.

Agree, travelled with a girl who'd bought fake malarone in singapore and struggled to find some proper stuff whilst away. Fairly good copy, but quite obvious when you compared the packaging.

I was advised to use these guys by my doctor (off the record)and save myself a few quid from the pharmacy next door.

Service was good.

Recommended.

Just remember to check the area you are going to and the specific drugs you need as they are not all the same and fotr certain places you need certain types. Well, thats how it used to be when I worked in the pharmacy but I stand corrupted, if its all changed now.

yer... but if you need malarone you need a prescription whatever (I think thats right, well i did anyway) and hopefully the pharmacy won't mess it up if they have a prescription.

As the OP is asking for Malarone I assume that he has checked it is approprirate for the area he is travelling to and that he is in possesion of a prescription from a UK registered medical practitioner.

The trade price for 75 Malarone is about £160 so if someone offers them to you for £50 then I'd be pretty wary to say the least.

He's only making about a £5 at that price. I wouldn't get out of bed for that

Our normal price would be in the region of £200 for 75 tablets. Stratford pharmacy is making virtually no profit on that price.

My Brother had to go to the surgery to get his malaria shots from the nurses.

There isn't a malaria vaccine, you have to take tablets. GPs are not supposed to issue scripts for them on pain of being made to pay for the drugs themselves when the PCT finds out.

I've just come back from Rwanda and I bought my Malarone from Lloyds Pharmacy on line.

I paid £83 for 36 tablets, great service and they were approx £10 cheaper than Tesco's who used to be cheapest.

Don't know if you've used Malarone before but having taken it many many time I have never had any side effects.

I'm kind of lucky then - our place has a medical department which provides Malarone when travelling to those sort of areas.

Never realised how expensive they are..

Malarone (the anti-malarial needed for Angola) is the only thing not covered by my employer.

Because the local doctors here advise against taking anti-malarials, it's up to us to decide whether we want to take it, hence up to us to pay for it.

I got it from my local pharmacy prior to my first trip - one month was £80 or so I think.
