Anybody know the name of the bar at the royal exchange near Bank? Is it still good? Used to go there quite a bit but havent been for ages. Looking for somewhere central to meet friends.

Thanks in advance

Worst "I've got friends in the City" thread ever.

It's not the Corney and Barrow is it ?

Not sure the main bar has got a name, but the restaurant on the mezzanine is called Sauterelle. Both are nice, if a little pricey, even by city standards. Given the choice I think the mezzanine is nicer, as it doesn't feel like garden furniture, but you've still got the view out over the amazing building. Hope this helps, Chaffs

There's a soapdodger protest at 3pm.

Do you mean the one inside? Think it's just the Royal Excange Cafe and Bar... mine's a Mojito with Champagne top.

Personally, I prefer Simpson's Tavern or The Cock + Woolpack, proper old fashioned city boozers

Have you seen Katie? You know, slightly dumpy, balaclava, Prada bag, Jimmy Choos and a 'fk Capitalism' T-shirt daddy had Donna Karan hand sew for her?

Thanks guys - It was the one on the mezz level I was thinking about. I'll just tell em to turn up. Its not for today though - would have been fun to watch the protest though.... Cant imagine there are many working in the city in the mood for disruption right now so could be interesting.
