Do most browsers support inline frames these days? I have limited experience with non MS browsers and am contemplating using Iframes in my web site redo (it needs it bad), but don't want to if they are not generally supported...

Cheers

Morning, Ernest.

From my experience, the releases from the last three years of Mozilla/Netscape Navigator and Konqueror support iframes.

My html reference says, they are feature since HTML 4.0 and are supported from IE 3.X and not supported from Netscape Nav up to 4.X

I'd say every productive desktop computer has newer versions installed

Cheers Bodo...

Much more elegant solution than the old standard frames so I will be using them. Thanks!

I've made some experiments with iframes at work, since I wanted to use an iframe for placing a navigation bar on the page, allowing content to float around the naviagtion area.
CSS allows to place that frame on every desired position on the page with individual iframe dimensions for every single page.

Don't forget to post a link to your work, when you're finished.

Right, Bodo - just for you as it is still a work in progress (due to the fact that drinking a beer after work is taking priority).

About the only link functioning right now is the MULTIMEDIA one...
