As a kid i did not like her much,to cut a long story short she put my father out of business. However we need an iron lady or man because our country is on its knees with the the financial and terrorist situation the uk is in.we need someone with a large pair of balls.Someone posted yesterday an afghan imigrant with seven kids who is getting social support to live in a 1.2 million mansion this would not have happend under thatchers rule.Love her or hate her whats the ph massive thoughts.

My thoughts are that Thatcher obviously didn't do too well with your education.

I dont know it MT would see us right but someone who's not affraid to stand up, strap a pair on and turn a blind eye (sorry Gordo, no pun intended) to the overly PC brigade and the meeja would do very well.

We certainly need someone with stones, confidence and a whole lot of courage to see us through this....and to be fair the fella, Gordo might actually be the man.

She had balls...

As a kid I remember seeing her on the news being asked some stupid question about buses. Her reply was,

Anyone over the age of 30 still using public transport could count themselves a failure.

I don't really understand this left of, right of bullst. Also, I must admit to being quite young during maggies reign and not being too bothered about 'poo'litics.

However, now i'm an old tt, give me maggie anyday over the shower of shyte that have pretended to preside over us for the last decade or so.

A few for instances over how she beats the effing blairites and the cronies -

wars - they were our own and not the US's. Falklands, halfway around the world, but we get in, on our own and sort it out under our own command. unlike the uS wars inthe middle east where we lose men but stand to gain nothing

unions - they had brought the previous government to their knees., Maggie says i ain't having any of that and sorts the uk out. Not the best way of going about it, but how many of you remember parasites like red robbo? She told us what she was going to do and did it

home ownership - she tried to bring it to the workers, unfortunately it wasn't that well thought out......obviously a labour moment!

Banks being subsidised, immigrants getting more out than a natural puts in, creative taxation.........all a hallmark of the noughties

Come back Maggie, the country really needs someone with big bks

This is my opinion only and reserve the right to tell you to fk off if you don't agree with it.

You have to ask yourself the following question - 'If the socialists had been in power, would my fathers business have fared any better?'

I suggest to you that unless his business was printing 'Socialist Worker' or counting union block votes, the same fate would have befallen him, probably sooner.

It is a shame that MT is now in her twilight years, as the country needs her now more than ever. DC semms a good bloke but i don't think he has balls anywhere near the size of MT. Portillo or Redwood may be worth a punt.

You're joking, aren't you? Please tell me this is a joke?

How's the 944, as a bike substitute, are you driving it much?

No i was serious.

As for the 944 it is piss boring, and used it maybe 5 times. I am going to get another bike. Either the new model R1 or the existing R1 not decided yet, but need to wait a few weeks for the 09 model to hit the showroom.

Portillo & Redwood? Smarm & smarmier... but each to their own!

I keep thinking a 944 might just be enough, but only 4 (big) cylinders - but I'll take your word for it. So it's a Carrera 3.2 or a manual 928. But I'm going to think/talk about it for a few months/years until I'm sure... biggrin
