We currently have sky+ in the front room and just normall sky in the back room. This is then transfered up to the bedrooms which sit directly above, so one bedroom has sky+ in and the other sky using a tv link gadget from comet but you have to watch whats on downstairs and vice versa. However, the picture upstairs is of a significantly worse quality than it is downstairs with noticeable wavey lines.
Now im thinking of paying for another sky box and putting it in one of the bedrooms and scrapping the one in the back room that is hardly watched, so basically just transfering the box upstairs and keeping the same package etc. Now my question is, how hard is it for the sky guys to install sky in an upstairs room, as the dish is on the opposite side of the house. Does anyone have any experience of this and will the signal be just as bad as it will require a very lengthy cable to get it round to the bedroom. Any help much appreciated!
cheers

The signal being bad is likely those wireless receivers. I have one and unless its in a particular spot I get the same as what you're saying
I dont fancy buying another box though, but I'm sure there's a way you can wire it into the area where it goes into the house and up inside rather than round the house again

Shouldn't be any problem at all, they will just take a 2nd output from a multi output LNB (the bit on the end of the arm that points at the dish). You can run up to 100m usually of the raw LNB signal to a Sky box without too much problem providing you have a well aligned appropriately sized dish.
