"Lomo my Landy"
Discussion
Sorry, don't think it has worked really.....when I think of Lomo, it's vibrant colours/casts, also the vignetting here looks too uniform and 'applied'.
There's loads of Flickr groups for Lomo pics, like this one http://www.flickr.com/groups/lomolca/

As said, the Lomo "style" typically involves a much less uniform but equally pronounced vignette. The amount differs from camera to camera and often from shot to shot

lots more here
One way to fake this is to apply a vignette in post processing. To make it uneven, try increasing the image canvas size in one direction only, then apply a vignette, then delete the extended portion of the canvas. This will give you a vignette that is heavier on one side than the other.
Alternatively just play around with a gradient fill from black->transparent and draw in the vignette manually.

One one hand, I think that much of the appeal of this sort of photograph is the knowledge that it was created by such a basic piece of equipment. Taking it with an expensive, high-quality camera and then using complicated software on a super-powerful computer to achieve the effect seems to defeat the object. On the the hand, there is the argument it's the end result, rather than the equipment used to achieve that result, that is important. It's an interesting philosophical question.
Wow dobbo your blog is a very interesting read thanks for that, the venice images are stunning by the way.
After looking on ebay at how cheap holgas are to buy I think I might just buy one and have a go instead try to replicate the style. At least that way I can use up all the 120 film I have sitting in the fridge from my uni days.
Whats the oldest film you've yet to put through it dobbo I have some going back to the 80's?
Cheers
P-S
Thanks for the comments on my blog! Regarding film age, the oldest roll I've put through was dated 2002, so not that old really! I couldn't see any difference between it and the new stuff.
Holgas are pretty cheap for a foray into shooting film, but also pretty limited. I do love mine though! I'm away for my 30th birfday weekend in London today and intend to use it more than the D200 as it's a bit easier to carry around.
