Any commuters in Manchester around to tell me if it's still there? Someone just told me it's been moved to the People's Republic of Yorkshire.

Its just that someone has created a redirect on the Wikipedia page for it. Could be someone vandalising the article, so I wanted to check before I slapped their arse.

Looks genuine to me given that there are pictures of it in front of York Minster, quite hard (and pointless) to go to that much trouble.

http://www.worldtouristattractions.co.uk/wta_wheel... - seems to be open still. Hope so anyway as I'm in Manchester this weekend and it looks like it could be interesting.

Another editor has dealt with it. Seems someone from Yorkshire created the redirect and edited the page for a bit of fun.

You'd be surprised how silly vandalism on Wikipedia can be. Someone edited an article of mine on a colliery that closed around the turn of the last century to include something about a Chinese bloke who created the coal mining industry in Britain. They then called me gay.

You can still book tickets for it, http://www.worldtouristattractions.co.uk/bookings/... so I guess its there still.

I've not noticed that it isn't there, which is a bit odd given I work in an office that it is visible from, (although I'm not there today) and walk past it on my way there. hehe

A relative of mine has a page on Wikipedia. She was said to have died at Aintree during the Grand National meeting in 2004, although the edit stopped short of saying she was trampled to death.

She's alive and well.

That's what I was going to say, read it on the MEN.

Hopefully it'll still be there in November, I want to go on it frown
