Clive Reed has fitted something similar to Andy Malpass's Griffith.

I'll see if I can find some pics

Don't suppose any further progress? Have asked the question about doing away with existing ignition/key/steering lock so as to move ingition switch elsewhere. Any ideas? Is it possible?

You can just remove the steering lock and key easily as a unit and then wire up a push start/key switch elsewhere.

Never taken one out of the Griff but they've always been straightforward when I've taken them out of my other cars. It's a Vauxhall based column as I'm sure you know so I guess it'll be straight forward. smile

You can just remove the steering lock and key easily as a unit and then wire up a push start/key switch elsewhere.
But wouldn't that cause a problem with insurance?

I guess you'd have to mention it as a modification and put some sort of 'cut-out key' somewhere?
