Im going down there 2mor which should be a great day of racing. Very, very pleased to see the 996 GT2 of Peter Cook up in the top 3

Congratulations to Shorty (well Tom Herridge I guess) and the Rollcentre crew.

Questions had been posed whether TVR were shooting themselves in the foot with the inclusion of the DeWalt Le Mans cars - both were ahead of Eclipse on the grid.

As it turned out Bob Berridge took out the Balfe Mosler at Paddock (nothing sinister) on one of the early laps before having to retire himself.

All looked good for Eclipse and Shane Lynch was driving an excellent race, before apparently the group he was in came upon a recovering Marcos that had spun out in the woods on the GP circuit. Game over TVR. All were OK I believe but it was a big accident none the less. Can you believe it was Eclipse's only DNF of the year.

So all Shorty had to do was coast home. There were enough clouds and spots of rain to make you think that possibly all three front runners could fail to finish, and the last 30 mins were made even more tense by a great drive from the Le Bas/Cole corevtte.

I guess if TVR couldn't win, the Rollcentre team was the next best thing and the only regret is that Shorty isn't the champion alongside Tom. But well done everyone.

And what an excellent grid for the final race.

Well done again

Does anyone know what happened to the Ultima from Aaron Scott? He started from the back of the grid, as he had gearbox probs yesterday then reached 6th (I think) but had to retire with mechanical problems - such a shame for a good drive.

The weather was certainly touch and go at the end with some short but heavy showers but all in all an excellent finish to the season.

The TVR's were flying

Well, that's one way of looking at it. The other way, of course, was that as there were waved yellow flags out at the time and there should not have been any overtaking, plus the fact that Berridge was about three to four car lengths back on the Mosler at the time, then it was definately sinister.

He should not have even been trying to overtake anything. But, I suppose if you are a TVR fan you will look that way at things. If you're a fan of decent motor racing then you will seee things differently. From where I was stood (which had a good view of Padock I might add), Berridge did everything wrong and no amount of saying otherwise will convince me differently.

When the same driver gets out of the car and is interviewed over the commentary and states that, "Well, I wanted a TVR to win the championship anyway." Guess there was nothing sinister in it, was there? You all tell me.

By the way, Tom was lucky to pick up the title this afternoon too. I don't mean because of his season, he has driven a great year and is a deserving champion. But the same TVR T400R tried to take the Rollcentre Mosler out at Druids after turfing the Balfe car into the gravel at Paddock. Two attempts so I am told. I think there were several drivers who were lucky not to be badly hurt today.

I was sitting right infront of where it happened
The Mosler left a barn door open ( and I mean huge enough for my mother to drive tank through!) - The TVR shot inside but was going far too quick to be able to take the corner without drifting right across the track. He locked up and went across for right to left.

The Mosler didnt give way or brake and turned in!

Collision

Race incident?

It was crap driving on both drivers accounts to me but was spectacular to watch.

Berridge got a license endorsement and a fine - it was a very poor bit of driving in my view (and I had a very good view!)

The Mosler left the door open as there were WAVED YELLOW FLAGS at Paddock. The TVR should not have been overtaking. Period. The fact that he came form such a long way back meant that he wasn't paying attention or was just driving badly.

Sorry, you won't convince me of this one, the TVR was completely in the wrong.

Use the mirrors? Had the track been green that would have been a valid point. But from that far back on a corner that was unsafe to overtake on (at that point in the race) due ot the flags, hmmm.

But I guess if that was what he had to do to overtake, then fair deal. Could have tried harder to do it properly a corner later if he was that fast.

You have to feel for the Eclipse team. I thought Martin Short's comments were spot on; as some of the driving was poor. Thankfully Shane Lynch was not hurt after his collision with the ISL Marcos. Tom Herridge drove a superb race followed by another solid stint from Short.

FIA Moslers?

Well done to the champions!

The car destroyed its gearbox at the beginning of qualifying on Saturday, and was rebuilt overnight. Unfortunately there were still a few problems, with the car missing 3rd from the start of the race.

Steve Brady made some good progress despite this before handing over to Aaron who was forced to retire a few laps into his stint when the fearbox failed again.

Just to add my two penny worth...I was sitting in the Paddock Hill stand and the only way the TVR was going to make the corner was if he hit someone! Couldn't believe he tried that.
Didn't see the yellows but wouldn't have been surprised if there were some as the Morgan had parked itself in the gravel up against the fence.

I wanted Rollcentre to win but not through those circumstances.

Wot a race, but it could have been much better if the other Mosler hadn't of crashed out. The Porsche 911 GT2 of Peter Cook would have won with out a doubt but because of the 2min stop and the drivethrough penalty it lost more time. Well done anyway Rollcentre

Jamie derbyshire was an entirely innocent party - He had lifted for the Yellows (The Morgan had indeed been stuffed into the tyre wall the previous lap) and Bob Berridge clearly either didn't see the yellows or saw them far too late - Jamie did the right thing, Bob didn't.

I just think that after seeing the damage to the Eclipse TVR it was a miracle that Shane Lynch actually climbed out unhurt.

Thank goodness he did.

Sad way for Eclipse to have to end a season of quality racing.

And with huge and very sad irony it was their only non-classified finish this year
