Clammy skin? Any doctors around?

Is it simply like a cold sweat?
I have no idea, I guess only you know if it's "like" a cold sweatas it's your son, I'm making assumptions you're not some raging peado, why don't you take him to a doctor? you know, if it's your car - you go to a garage, if it's your most own flesh and blood, maybe seek medical advice?
Have you taken his temp?
Sometimes younger kids who don't recognise that feeling of fever and if they're engaged in stuff carry on regardless.
My little girl was playing happily and was cheerful but looked bit peaky. She had a 39.4 degree temp...
If he's older could be a few hormones flying around and onset of dreaded puberty.

He is my son yes
But just for the record and for those of you that either dont have kids or have grown up ones and you've forgotton, if i took him to the docs everytime they had a slight sniffle, cold, temp etc I would be there all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mothers know best and like i said he is fine but i just dont really know what causes the skin to become clammy. Is it sweat, is it a reaction to the body's core tempreture etc. I just wanted to learn more about why it happens.

When my son was a baby we were always at the GP.
Since he got to about two and a half I haven't sought medical attention for anything less than breathing difficulties or arterial bleeds.
Now we have two kids (heir and a spare) I worry less.

I spose to be fair if he was sat in the corner quietly like i told him to I would have no cause to stub the fags out on him....In answer to some of the other questions he is just one year old. And a nightmare, always in and out of hospital with everything from Jaundice, liver problems, water on his balls, wasp sting in mouth, breathing probs. He is a walking diaster area!!!
He is however in between all that fit and well with no conditions as such.
Its just I have a two year old as well and she has never had this clammy skin thing and i would just like to know how and why the body is doing it.

PH never ceases to amaze me. One day someone will post "I've cut myself quite badly, there's blood everywhere, what should I do?".
Uh, hold on. I think we had that a few months ago
If you actually read the post I make it quite clear that i am not seeking medical advice. No one now has clammy skin. I am not a worried mother, i am not looking for an excuse not to visit my GP, I dont need a diagnosis.......Uh, hold on. I think we had that a few months ago

I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT?!
