Anyone know of any really good bands who play at weddings in the Birminham area?

We're looking for a mix of classics from 60's onwards - Beetles, Stones etc. up to Charletans, Oasis maybe.

Any ideas are gratefully received!

I know the guy who runs jazzfish.co.uk, he's got a load of good bands on his books - might be able to sort you out.

Wired.

They played my wedding in July 06 and were awesome. A couple of them played some Jazz in the afternoon and then the entire band played a set in the evening. They can play their own stuff or covers or a mix of both. Seven piece band with wind... all proper career musicians.

They are based not far from Banbury, so about an hour from Birmingham up the M40.

I know that everyone thinks that their band was best so I'll leave it there and urge you to go and see them one night. Don't leave it too long though, they get booked up.

We saw 6 bands live before choosing one and these guys trashed everyone else. No contest. We have seen them several times since the wedding and they get better...

We used Boogie Knights from here:

for a wedding in Rugby, they were pretty good. We liked the fact they didn't use backing tapes, they were a "proper" band, with instruments, lol. They're not quite what you're looking for I guess but they show the standard of what's on the site.

Good site too, they have artists of all styles and budgets.
