US plane has been forced to land in Iran after overflying Iranian airspace.

Can we afford another war at the moment?

war is good for business. Would mean the US industry will be in full swing pumping out missiles, guns, ammo etc and would create a fair bit of unemployment.

Sad but true frown

nothing like a war to focus the minds of a depressed nation on something positive. In a recent survey for our magazine 8 out of 10 struggling democracies who expressed a preference were quoted as saying 'War, what is it good for?' ... absolutely nothing.

Slow news day methinks. Was getting rather fed up of credit crunch chatter, was even contemplating having a laugh at Jeremy Kyle! I hate being off ill!

I think it was a Delta or Continental jet had to make an emergency landing there a year or two ago, they let it land, it checked out OK, it departed very quickly.
