can they work together??

If the fax machine is plugged into the BB filter it wont work, but the broadband still will... which is a pain.... If the fax is plugged into the main wall socket without the BB it workds fine!! should I be doing something different??

My printer is a fax machine and it's plugged into the BB filter and works absolutely fine.

We used dial-up and BB at the same time quite happily (despite being told it wouldn't work).

It is possible you have a duff filter so worth trying another, maybe a different make. 'Tis possible though that your fax just doesn't like BB filters.

Well I thought it may be the fax, it is not the most up to date jobbie, but didnt want to buy a new fax to find out that fax's and BB are not compatible!

I do it all the time, PC on-line and then use either fax software to send fax (dialup) from PC or send/receive on stand alone fax machine.

Its your Alarm systems "Phone for Help" .. If you have redcare bunged up to it.

Each of our offices at my old company used to have ADSL installed on the fax line and used it for redcare as well - we never had any issues.
