"green" electricity suppliers
Discussion
Hi All,
Just had a thought whilst reading the post here about carbon permit trading etc...
For those people who have opted for the more expensive "green energy" (power produced entirely from renewables such as wind etc) from thier electricity supplier (an option many of the major companies provide) or even gone with a specialist green only supplier (available in certain locations)
Im assuming that the recent rises in energy prices have missed you by completely, what with no dependence on coal, oil, gas, camel shadows, or other scare and expensive resources.
I'd have thought there would be an outcry in the press if it had leapt by 20+% for no apparent reason.
Or has it actually crept up along with all the rest? If so, anyone know why?
Reason I ask is I'm guessing at some point it will be more economic to choose a "green" provider for electricity than a "traditional" fossil fuel burning one...
Cheers
