'Come to Britain and do as you please - there will be no consequences at all....' said the judge (or something like that....)

The authorities are afraid of the consequences of upsetting the followers of this moronic cult; they will do whatever it takes to appease them for fear of giving them the excuse to declare a holy war against the infidels. We're lumbered with this lot now; things will only get worse as time passes to the point where one day they will declare a separatist state within our country. I think we all know what happens next...

'The 44-year-old was also prohibited from allowing or encouraging anyone under the age of 16 to beat themselves during the next 12 months.'

You couldn't make it up.

Yep, bit like those ASBO stepiles that "ban such-and-such from committing assault/damaging property/stealing cars/wandering the streets with his cock out brandishing an ironing board...". i.e. how the flying, tossing, wanking, bding fk can you claim to have "banned" someone from committing a criminal offence?

Defies belief, but this is what political fking correctness and listening to a load of brainless whinging lefty bleeding-heart pissflap aholes has landed us with.

Would'nt look good otherwise, would it ?
Do you honestly think this guy would disobey his elders ?
How long do you think he'd last if he had said ''they made me do it !"

Im not saying that is why he did it. Im am saying that is the reason he got such a weak punishment.

It's actually both!

If he were not Muslim he would not have done it
and
If he were not Muslim he would have gotten proper punishment!

I was pointing out it wasn't advocated by followers of his religion as the previous poster alluded to.

Having quickly read the article, does it not say these "beatings" are part of the religeon? Were these kids muslims and did they know what the deal was?
I'm not defending the guy at all I just see if the kids were older is it normal practice for muslims to do this?

Fair enough, don't post in such an ambiguous way then maybe people will get what your trying to say wink

And yes, I agree, our institutions st themselves handling Muslims (and other strongly religious types) it seems.

Since even his Imams told him this wasn’t necessary under their religion, one must ask why he did it?

Perhaps he just likes to see young boys whipped.

I disagree with having Sharia law in the UK, but if this guy is the good Muslim he claims, then shouldn’t he have been demanding the right to be tried by a Sharia court?

I wonder what punishment the Imams would have given him. My guess is it would have been a damn sight more than he got in our system.

The hypocrisy of Muslims demanding Sharia law until it suits them is staggering.

Perhaps Pistonheader’s should make up our own religion and legal system. Then we should demand the right to be tried according to it. The only difference is theirs is longer established.

I doubt the penalty for speeding would be high.

The Prophet Ted handed down a holy book of rants. They never said Thou shalt not speed.
