I want to begin doing some upgrades to my stock Toyota engined 'R'.

I don't want to do everything at once because I want to savour each upgrade but I'm guessing the right place to start is an induction kit and stage 2 exhaust?

Does anyone know of a thread or article where I can learn about about what to do 1st/2nd/3rd etc?

thanks in adv.

ps: I know the best upgrade is for the driver smile I'm already a fan of Mr Walsh.

Mr Walsh, probably the best bet followed by a ferry ticket (As I have seen you have done to full effect!)

However I have a Larini & Induction kit (Pipercross). I think I would not be wrong to say the Top systems are:

1. Larini Joint with Tubular.
2. Stage 2 Lotus system.

But again all personal opinion and based on my reading of threads and having my current set up. Think now there are two types of Larini, Centre and side. There are lots of threads on here that you could search for.

I am near London, if you wont a blast in Larini system car etc.

Do you want performance or noise? Induction and exhaust will give you the latter but you need an ECU reflash to see and performance gains and even then they are very moddest, about 10 hp.

Brakes then Suspension if you want a better handling car

or

Induction + 2Bular/Larini
Brakes
Suspension

If you want noise first.. then handling

If you're on SELOC, you can't do much better than this article:
