What colour are the clowds on his planet....Near miss ""my arse""
that little girl is very very lucky kid indeed,

Thankfully, most spiders prefer seclusion and will only attack when provoked; mind, having a nest I'd say the girl was very, very lucky.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/7632590...

Just to scare Cloggy:
Spiders kill at an astonishing pace. One Dutch researcher estimates that there are some five trillion spiders in the Netherlands alone, each of which consumes about a tenth of a gram of meat a day. Were their victims people instead of insects, they would need only three days to eat all sixteen and a half million Dutchmen.

Pff...that's nothing compared to my epic battle with a Black Widow a few months ago. Titanic struggle it was. Mano a Arachnid. The stuff blockbuster films are made of.
In Edinburgh?? I may have worn 3 pairs of gloves and screamed like a girl

Oddly enough, one the directors in my work (also Edinburgh) was apparently bitten by a red back spider in his home. WTF?
