I'm calling for some inspiration from you all. My daughter is 7 yo. On Friday they are having a European Day at school when pupils can go dressed as a person from one of the European countries.

I have no time to make/sew/buy anything. We have the usual princess dresses etc here and she says she would like to go as a spanish lady!

Are any of you creative and could give me some pointers/ideas about how to put together something? ANything?........HELP!

England football shirt, jeans, fait waff of beer/WKD and get her to chant "En-gerr-land" repeatedly whilst kicking her classmates in the head.

actually to make it more authentic you need a squeegy and an old coke bottle with dirty suds and water in it

Er, most Europeans dress exactly the same, apart from tending to drape jumpers over their shoulders instead of tying them around their waists. Dressing up as stereotypes is not exactly going to help teach her about other Europeans. Perhaps you should buck the trend and tell her this.

From my visits to France/Italy/Spain. If you want her to look continental, get her to smoke like a chimney.

How about a Hitler Youth uniform? All you need is a brown shirt and trousers plus a few bits of red and black swastika decorations. Hitlers plan for Yerp was exactly the same as the EU's so I am sure they will deem it entirely appropriate.

Ooooh this'll be great fun for her. Go buy or make a Dutch outfit (basically a grey long dress with an apron and a white dutch hat. I had a European Day when I was at school and I won a prize for this.
