oil on my block paving...what removes it?
Discussion
My work van has gone back to the garage after developing an oil leak.
Now my block paving drive is full of oil stains some quite large.
I have tried diluting with petrol and washing with detergent and a high pressure washer but still no joy.
Is there something better for removing oil? ta very much..

How the hell do you end up finding out that white wine does the job????
OK I'll try petrol. Didn't work.
White spirit - nope, no good.
How about mango chutney - no, it's not shifting.
Pineapple juice?
Banana milkshake?
Hoegarten (on the grounds it must be good for something)?
Right I'll pee on it. Aaaaah that's better. Better hose that away.... ah. No.
Right last resort, crack open that bottle of Piat D'or Mavis, that'll shift it!
How many things did some experimental soul have to try to find a winner?!

White wine.
- but nothing cheap, mind you. It takes at least a case, possibly two....Edited by eharding on Monday 22 September 22:09
I would have tried a Lambrini but it just wouldn't be up to the job and the aroma when the block paving heats in the sun would make me feel quite poor..
