rofl it's either that or cry. That first one is unreal. She has the affair, she spunks her money away and he's still liable. Unbelievable.

Getting married seems like a not very good idea, unless one marries somebody who has more money than you, in which case getting married is an excellent idea.

"A district judge awarded her a lump sum of £202,000 in April last year despite agreeing that Mrs North's money troubles had nothing to do with her former husband and he had no further responsibility towards her."

Why would a judge ever do that?

Can't see anything astonishing on the first one. Simple case of she is lazy and has nothing, you work hard and have cash - give her some.

Standard Labour policy, just being expanded. Can't say I'm either surprised or shocked.

At last, a man with a 100%, perfect, crystal clear understanding of a woman's mind.

Mmmmm the first is an old story, 2007, and if read indicates the District Court ruling is being appealed........ wonder what happened !?

The second, is to be honest, more understandable. It is just a shame your average person in the street does not understand what getting married means in a legal sense.

I really cant believe that first one, why the hell would a judge decide that after saying it has nothing to do with her ex husband?

Thats like a judge deciding someone is totally innocent, then giving them a prison sentence anyway.....

It seems to defy any sort of sense or logic and you just know there are divorced women rubbing their hands together in glee now at the prospect of what they could get from any ex husbands they've divorced over the years.

As a mate just said, the world is very anti-man. She has an affair, they get divorced, he sets her up with enough to live comfortably for the rest of her life, HE raises the children and yet, thirty years later after she's squandered her money he still has to prop up his ex wife.

Would have been cheaper to hire an assassin to take both of the bhes out - I'd rather risk the prospect of doing time than concede a single penny to either of the cheating gold diggers.

Can't see myself ever wanting to marry. Never had the inclination in my 20s to ever want to get hitched and now 30, even more so.

1: because they are a fking idiot
2: because they are a fking idiot
3: because they are a fking idiot

might be a combination of all three though.

And they wonder why confidence in the "justice" system is so low? rolleyes

more or less what i thought!

seriously, has a bloke ever married into serious money, divorced, and walked off laughing with a wheelbarrow full of cash?

marriage and divorce law were clearly invented by women.

It's revenge for the days when we were allowed to beat our wives as long as the rod used was no thicker than our thumbs.

They're getting back for hundreds of years of being our doormats.

I'm moving to the far East, where you can still beat them. Good times.
