Another 'just got my first DSLR' thread.....

Hi, picked up a Canon EOS 450D yesterday, with a kit lens and Tamron 70-300mm lens. I've taken quite a few pics, just to get used to things and to work my way round the camera etc. Anyways, thought I'd share a couple from this morning. Any / all thoughts / constructive criticism appreciated....

Looking good !

How do you find the Tamron lens - I am thinking of investing in a lens that size (see other thread).

As pretty much a beginner, it's hard to comment on the lens to be honest. It feels pretty solid to me and looks relatively well made - though it was commented that the mount being plastic thats where it would end up wearing. I'm not sure how true this is / will be (or how that compares to the rest of the market), but I'm happy enough with it. The 2nd shot above was taken with it's macro function (albeit with a 7ry old hanging onto my legs, so probably an element of wobbliness in there).
